It took just 2 and half hours for Abhay Deol’s life to come on the fast track! These hours changed the call-centre employee’s life totally. Nilesh Rastogi, (Abhay Deol) perhaps is happiest to miss his last local, who not only makes dhai ghante mein dhai crore but also finds his true love (Neha Dhupia); wouldn’t you want to miss your last local as well !

Come 18th of May and everyone would want to miss their train!

Debutant director Sanjay Khanduri has written the script of Ek Chalis ki last local inspired by his own experience of missing his last local. Ek Chalis is being produced by Bharat Shah, has been made under the banner of Quartet Films. This fast paced thriller comedy stars Neha Dhupia and Abhay Deol. It is based on how a guy who has missed his last local train and has just 70 bucks, turns a millionaire by the time he takes the first local.

Cinematography marks the entry of first female cinematographer in Hindi cinema, C. Vijaysri. The Editing is done by Dharmendra Sharma. The choreography is by Sanjay Khanduri himself. Sameer Chanda is on Production Designer’s credit and Parvez Khan as Action Director.

The music in the movie has been contributed by three musical maestros Sandesh Shandilya (well known for his composition “Suraj Hua Madham” from K3G) Pakistani Band 'Call' (Promotional Song ‘Laaree Chootien’) and 'Ankur'. The music credits also include Tknow Francorsi, Aqeel, Sanjeev and the remix is by famous DJ Suketu. The music is peppy and exuberant.

The wacky thriller is an intelligently crafted story of what happens in couple ofhours with these two nocturnal wanderers, set in the backdrop of dark underworld. This adventurous and tickling roller coaster ride promises of keeping audiences on the edge of their seats.

Director, Sanjay Khanduri, on his debut effort expressed, “Ek Chalis Ki Last Local is a comic thriller, which is actually inspired out from my real life experiences and observations in Mumbai city. It is a fast paced fiction, which is very youthful and urban. It is a story about people from two different strata of society stuck in a situation and falling in love on a satirical backdrop of Mumbai’s dark underworld. It is surely going to tickle everyone’s funny bone
