After trying his hand at politics, yesteryear actor Vinod Khanna is back to the 'risky' business of Bollywood.
Whether it's leather jackets or denims, Khanna sure knows how to make a style statement, even at his age.
He is making a comeback on the big screen with Vishram Swant's new film Risk. After dabbling in politics for few years, Khanna says he has served his constituency well and has no qualms in admitting that he's returning to films strictly to earn his livelihood.
“All the big demands of the constituency have been met. I have decided now I have to look after myself, my children, my two young kids, I need to work and make some money,” Khanna says.
In Risk, which also stars Randeep Hooda and Tanushree Dutta, Khanna plays an underworld gangster.
His last film Leela starring Dimple Kapadia was released almost five years ago. And Khanna who gave up his acting career at its peak to seek spirituality, says he has no regrets and that his journey is far from over.
"My spiritual quest is over. I am no longer a seeker. But my seeking remains. See seeking doesn't stop, its like acting. You can become professional actor, you become very fine actor, you become experienced actor but you can’t say that I am finished with acting. I know everything," says Khanna.
There's also something to look forward to in the future. All the three Khannas - Vinod and his two sons Akshay and Rahul - may soon be seen together in a film.
The actor admits that they have been approached with a script but the finer details are still being worked out.
