Vimala Raman , introduced by K Balachander is fast rising the ladder to fame in Malayalam.
Vimala Raman was born and brought up in Australia. Her family is looking after a lot of business concerns there, but the model turned actress came over to India due to her fascination for cinema.
Malayalam cinema embraced her like anything and in a matter of few weeks, she was flooded with offers. Her two films Pranayakalam and Time are already out and she is the lead in the new film with Jayaram titled Sooriyan which will get to theatres by the last week of this month.
The actress, who is presently acting with Mammootty in Nasrani, has now decided not to go back to Australia. Her parents have recently asked her to come back to Australia and to get married.
But she prefers the other way and has also taken a rented house in Madras. She is now looking forward for bigger opportunities also in Tamil.
