t’s of course no news to hear Rajnikanth getting praised by any of his co-stars. We have been hearing it a lot. In fact, we seem to have heard it a hundred times before? Anyway, get ready to hear it once again, for the sake of Vijayalakshmi, director Agathiyan’s bubbly-looking younger daughter, who recently shot for four full days for the animation film ‘Sultan: The Warrior’ with superstar Rajnikanth.

Vijayalakshmi has had back-to-back hits in ‘Chennai 600 028’ and ‘Anjathey’ and is currently doing ‘Adhae Idam Adhae Neram’ with Jai. It was towards the end of July last that Vijayalakshmi got a call from Soundarya Rajnikanth, offering her the role opposite superstar Rajnikanth (though in an animation film). Vijayalakshmi lapped it up, but even when she was going to Ramoji Rao Film City in Hyderabad, where she recently had a four-day shooting stint for ‘Sultan: The Warrior’, she couldn’t believe that she was in fact starring opposite the great Rajnikanth.

Though she had no idea what the story was all about, she followed perfectly all the instructions given to her by director Soundarya and was quite happy that she was selected over other many actresses as Rajni’s heroine. And recounting her experience working with the super-star, she reveals that she has learnt a lot from the latter who, in her opinion, is ‘an epitome of simplicity’. She was all the more moved when Rajni reportedly enquired in detail about her and her family members.
