Vidya Balan and John Abraham first starred together in Salaam e Ishq. The film bombed even though they were good together. But it seems that the actress is not keen to repeat the jodi, unless both have substantial roles. If reports are to be believed, then she has walked out of David Dhawan's Hook Ya Crook to be directed by David Dhawan, which had cast her opposite John.

Vidya rightly felt that she would have little to do in a film directed by
Dhawan. Most of the director's films have very little scope for an actress. The only thing required is for heroines to look and act glamorous. Vidya is a little wary of doing such roles and she is believed to have discussed her apprehension with Dhawan who assured her of changes in the script. But even the changed script did not satisfy her. So the actress has done the next best thing and walked out of the film.

The actress is currently in Wai shooting for Vishal Bahardwaj's next film, where she has a pro like Naseeruddin Shah wooing her. On screen, of course. The actor is believed to have cut off his beard and colored his hair to play the role of a middle aged suitor to Vidya
