Over 55 per cent shooting of Deepavali directed by Haribabu and produced by Teegala Kripakar Reddy on the banner of Anna Adarana Arts with Venu Thottempudi and Megha Nair in the lead was completed. Venu says, 'It is the story of a youth, who reaches city to eke out his living and falls in love with a girl.



The repercussions he faced after his love affair form part of the climax. Though the character appears routine, it gives good entertainment.' Chalapati Rao says, 'The producer of the film is a hardcore fan of the late NT Rama Rao. Due to that affection, he named his banner as Anna Adarana Arts. Venu is playing a jovial and chivalrous youth's character and I am playing the father of the heroine.'

Producer Kripakar Reddy says, 'We will wrap up the talkie by December 12 and are planning to take up canning of songs abroad.' Music director Ramana Ogeti says, 'There is a very good scope for music in the flick and we gave preference to melody in giving tunes to the songs.' Bhanuchander, Vinodkumar, Ali, Raghubabu, Brahmaji, Sudarshan, Sudha, Hema and others are in the cast. Dialogues are by Rathababu Diamond, camera is by Prasad K, while direction is by Haribabu.
