The CID has revealed that Venkat has admitted to the killing of his friend and realtor Prashant Reddy. According to sources, the CID is said to have recorded Venkat’s statement stating that he had killed Prashant with his revolver. Venkat is said to have confessed this and is said to have told the CID that land disputes were the reason for the murder.
The father of Venkat and former PCC chief K Keshava Rao however was quick to react. KK said that the statement was not Venkat’s but only that of the CID. Even Venkat’s lawyer says that the statement has not been made by his client but is being made by the CID.
