Moserbaer, Mirchi Movies & Duet Movies proudly present “Vellitherai”. Starring Prakashraj, Prithviraj, Gopika and Lakshmi Rai, with a host of acting talents from across cinema, Vellitherai also boasts of some notable technicians that have made this celluloid dream come true. The music of Vellitherai is by G V Prakash, possibly the youngest music director in Tamil cinema today. And who best to bless him and our film with their presence than the living legends, “Mellisai Mannargal” M S Vishwanathan & T K Ramamurthy.
Duet Movies take immense pride and pleasure in honoring these great musicians who have given us some great musical moments by inviting their colleagues P B Srinivas, P Susheela and S P Balasubramaniam to take part in this august occasion. Mr. Vidyasaagar, who has worked extensively with MSV will give the citation and present the legends with our memento. A musical performance of vintage MSV-TKR songs by children will mark this evening - thus making the function a moment where generations of musicians will bond over music! This evening will also see the launch of Duet Music - a step towards integrating the various wings of cinema from Prakashraj. who, apart from being an innovative producer, forays into the field of music with a difference.
Duet Music & Moserbaer will release the audio of Vellitherai, Mayilu & Abhiyum Naanum, Inithu Inithu in succession, with a Karoke version as well. The Audio Function of Vellitherai will be presided over by Mr. Mohanlal. Vellitherai is inspired by the Malayalam film Udhayananu Thaaram, starring Mohanlal, Srinivas and Meena and holds the record for being the most successful Malayalm film ever. This event will have the best names from Tamil cinema, as a true celebration of movies & music.
2007 was truly an exceptional year for Tamil filmdom, with 3 films that made a huge impact by breaking all rules and accepted norms. Paruthiveeran, Chennai28 and Mozhi left the audience asking for more. Duet Movies & Prakashraj take this moment to honor Ameer. VenkatPrabhu & Radhamohan, who have made us film-lovers proud of our Tamil cinema.
