The public auction conducted by the Visakhapatnam Urban Development authority has proved to a big success. Contrary to the rather poor response to an earlier auction by HUDA in Hyderabad, the VUDA auction saw many bidders quoting a good price for the lands.

The auction fetched a record price of five crore per acre at Madhurawada in Visakhapatnam.
