The authorities of the GMR Rajiv Gandhi International Airport at Shamshabad are now all set to levy user charges from domestic passenger shortly. The authorities are already collecting user charges of Rs. 1,000 per passenger who is boarding an international flight from the airport.

The authorities plan to levy user charges ranging from Rs. 200 to Rs. 500 per passenger who flies within the country. The charges will vary from short distance flights and long distance flights. The user charges will be around Rs. 200 for intra-state passengers and Rs. 500 for inter-state passengers.
