With the good show by the congress party in the by polls, the chief minster YS Rajashekar Reddy and PCC chief D Srinivas are now getting ready to take some kind of action against senior party leaders who are seen as dissidents.

It is very clear that Uppunoothala Purushottam Reddy worked against the party’s interest in Alair by openly backing the TRS candidate. The congress lost the seat. G Venkataswamy deliberately insisted on fielding a rookie from Medaram as he wanted to keep the seat warm for his son Vinod.

Harirama Jogaiah is also likely to face the axe as he has been openly supporting Chiranjeevi and criticizing chief minister YS Rajashekar Reddy.

But among the three, Venkataswamy may escape from any drastic action by the high command as he is a member of the CWC, the highest decision making body of the congress party.
