The Censor Board has become very strict with scenes showing violence or obscenity. They are ever ready with the scissors to remove the offending scenes.
The latest casualty to their sharp edge is 'Sathyam' from which a whole sensual song, as well as some violent scenes, were snipped off.
Tomorrow, Ritesh's film 'Nayakan' will be released with an 'A' certificate. It's a bit surprising that 'U' certificate has been given for 'Dhaam Dhoom' and ' Saroja ' The latter is supposed to have many action scenes. In the former shot in Russia, there are enough action scenes reminiscent of war. Since both are said to be good films, they have escaped with hardly a scratch from the Censor Board.
'Dhaam Dhoom' will be released on Aug 29 and Saroja on Aug 30.
