 Cine Planet, a multiplex was constructed at Kompally and Vijayalakshmi 70mm, was opened at LB Nagar. Both of them were inaugurated recently and thrown open for pubic. While Prabhas- Nayanatara starrer Yogi was the opening film in Vijayalakshmi, the Cine Planet Multiplex is screening Yogi , Desamuduru and Guru (Hindi) in its two screens. Allu Arjun and VV Vinayak among other celebrities who attended the opening of Cine Planet Multiplex.

Many cinema halls are in prime localities. However, most of them are not making enough money. In fact, some theatre managements are actually pouring money into the theaters instead of making money for running them. The twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad are now a thing of the past. The twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad will henceforth be known as just Greater Hyderabad. The move follows an amendment to the Hyderabad Municipal Corporation Act of 1955, which was approved in the assembly today. Henceforth, all real estate activities like land registration and agreements etc. would be done only under the name of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation.
