Tulip Joshi believes spirituality can be practiced without renouncing material things.

Ever since she put her acting career on hold because of her back injury, Tulip has taken refuge in Kimmaya, an institution that teaches behavioral, social, motivational skills to realize one’s potential and to live a successful and fulfilled life.

The best thing about Kimmaya, Tulip says, is that it teaches a person “to go beyond positive thinking towards intelligent thinking”. In Kimmaya, spirituality can go along with materialism.

Tulip admits that she herself has reaped many benefits by turning to Kimmaya.

Kimmaya, Tulip adds, is not a religion or a cult. Nor it teaches anything related to Yoga or Reiki. Rather it teaches a person “to live a more harmonious life.”

Today, Tulip has recovered fully and is making a comeback to films after a long sabbatical. The coming months will see the release of two movies featuring her : Manish Gupta’s Hostel and Arindam Mitra’s Shunya .

She has also signed a movie each with filmmakers Sanjay Gupta and Samir Karnik.
