With the arrival of the few Tamil biggies for Pongal, the Mollywood top five also got changed much due to the good opening of some of these films. The top five of the week is:

1. ‘Katha Parayumpol’- The recent advertisements that also carried Rajinikanth in the posters, following the decision to remake the film in Tamil, has given another boost to the movie which is collecting well even in its fifth week.

2. ‘Bheemaa’ - Vikram has a good fan base in the state and that shows itself in its big release in 30 centers and the great initials that the film sustains .In some centers the first show opened as early as 7.30 AM, just like many of the films of the Malayalam super stars. The film is registering full houses in all these four days.

3. ‘Kangaroo’- ‘Kangaroo’ has landed safely and will provide as a moderate success to its makers. The film with average collections moves on to the fifth week, but will find it harder to survive the next week’s big Malayalam releases.

4. ‘Romeo’- Dileep's slapstick comic fare didn't fetch collections as expected, but this was neither a non starter at the box office. The film maintains a low 30 percent in major centers. As per the present trends in collections, by the end of this week, the film may remain only in the big cities.

5. ‘Taare Zameen Par’ - This Aamirkhan film has proved big in Kerala and has done a good business, as it is doing elsewhere in the country. The film remains as the one which is eagerly promoted by small kids and their parents alike, which boosted the collections in all centers. The film is in its fifth week in Kerala.

With the arrival of few more biggies like ‘Raudram', ‘Calcutta News’ and ‘College Kumaran’ by the next week, the Box office charts and viewers are in all expectations to receive the true openers of the season, as the other two Malayalam films like 'Of The People' and 'Novel', released in 2008 just remained non-starters.
