Unlike earlier, several films which are slated to be released during the Dasara festivities were postponed to Diwali , as two films of top stars like Chiranjeevi and Nagarjuna were released as Vijayadasami gifts. According to indications, four films are slated for release as Diwali gift to the Telugu audiences. They are 'Adilakshmi, Premalekha Rasaa, Raraju and Mayabazaar'. In addition to these some other films also completed their post-production formalities and set for release. While Srikanth-starrer 'Adilakshmi' was directed by Suresh Varma, Gopichand-starrer Raraju was directed by Udayashankar, 'Premalekha Raasa' by writer-turned director Kulasekhar and the Bhoomika-Raja starrer film 'Mayabazaar' has Indraganti Mohankrishna wielding the megaphone. Besides these four films, two more films are ready to hit the screen.
