There are no big hero movie releases for the most lucrative and sentimental Sankranthi season in 2009. Only young heroes will be fighting it out to achieve success during this Sankranthi.

Hero Ram "Masaka" and Siddharth "Konchem Istam Konchem Kastam" are the two big movies releasing during the festive season. Other small movies, which are releasing this Sankranthi, are Allari Naresh "Fitting Master" and Sumanth "Bonee".

Masaka has Ram and Hansika in the lead roles. This movie is being directed by B Gopal and is being produced by MS Raju on Sumanth Arts banner. Devi Sri Prasad is scoring the music.

Konchem Istam Konchem Kastam has Siddharth and Tamanna in the lead roles. This movie is being directed by debutant director Srikanth and is being produced by Nallamalupu Bujji. Bollywood music gaints Shankar-Eshaan-Loy are giving the music for this movie.
