The film releases are gaining momentum these days. The small producers who were against releasing their films at a time when the films of big stars are getting hit the screen as Sankranthi releases. Once the exam season starts there will be very less audiences between March and April end. That is the reason why several producers are planning to release their films in February or in the beginning of March.
Moreover, there is no big competition from the seasoned stars during these days. On February 15, three films are set for release. They are ' Lakshmi Kalyanam , Nicky and Neeraj and Maa Daivam Peddayana'. Of them Lakshmi Kalyanam was directed by Teja and produced by K Mahendra with Kalyanram in the lead. Though Athanokkade was proved a big hit, Kalyanram's next flick 'Asaadhyudu' failed to make a big mark.
So he had kept high hopes on Lakshmi Kalyanam . Moreover, Teja also did a lot of hard work for the film, as he too had no notable hits in the recent past. The film was shot for about 100 days in Madanapalle. Kalyanram's get up, Kaajal's glamour, RP Patnaik's tunes and Manisharma's background score would be the highlights for the film.
Next comes Nicky and Neeraj directed by AP Chandra and produced by Meghana Iyyunni, an NRI with Sivaji and Deepa in the lead. The director claims that he had portrayed Sivaji in a different angle.
The third film 'Maa Daivam Peddayana' is a dubbed version in Telugu of Tamil hit film 'Ayyaa…!' with Sharatkumar and Nayanatara in the lead. Directed by Hari, the film was a big hit in Tamil. Presenter of the film Kethireddy Jagadiswara Reddy and producer PJ Reddy are sure that the film would be a big hit in Telugu also. Another speciality of the film is that this is the debut film of Nayanatara in Tamil, who is now busy in Telugu films.
