A decade after his career high, Thilakan is donning the lead in a new film, Chunkakkarum Vesyakalum.

Directed by R K Panikkar, the shooting has been planned entirely in Canada. The movie chronicles the experiences of a Malayalee immigrant family there.

Thilakan, with films like Perunthachan, Moonnam Pakkam and Vendor Daniel to his credit, moved on to character roles, playing fathers and grandfathers to our superstars.

The plot’s treatment is planned to be humorous; the movie will be produced by V.B. Krishna Das under the banner of Maharishy Productions.
