Veteran actor Thilakan, who made an outstanding performance in Ekantham (2007) directed by Madhu Kaithapram, which tackles the subject of old age issues, is yet again in a similar powerful role in the forthcoming Orkkuka Vallapozhum by popular mini screen director Sohanlal.

The movie will feature Thilakan as a seventy five year old Sethumadhavan, who makes feeble attempts to return to the innocence of his past. Scripted by the director himself, the movie will feature debutante Shilpa Balan as the heroine.

Produced by Vinu Y.S. under the banner of God's Own Movies, the movie is expected to start its shoot by the end of September at Kuttikkanam, Idukki. The movie will have music by M. Jayachandran. More details are yet to be revealed.

Thilakan, who is said to be facing an unofficial boycott from major commercial ventures due to an alleged conspiracy by some biggies in the film industry, recently won a special mention jury award in the recently-announced National Awards for his performance in Ekantham. He was even considered for the award for the best actor at the national level for his performance in this movie.
