Following the controversy over a song in his just-released film "Aja Nach Le", veteran filmmaker Yash Chopra on Wednesday said there was never any intention to hurt the feelings of people but stressed that politics should always be kept away from movies.

"There is no place for politics in the film industry as it only promotes art, nothing else," Chopra, who was here on a personal visit, told reporters. He said immediately after objections were raised over the use of the word "mochi" (cobbler) in the title track of the film, the producers (Yash Raj Films) ordered deleting of the controversial line from the prints of the movie across the country.

"There was no intention to hurt the sentiments of any caste or community," he clarified. But he evaded questions on the protests over the song in Uttar Pradesh, Punjab and Haryana. The three states banned screening of the movie, only to lift it later.

Chopra said he plans to direct another film which will hit the theatres likely in April, 2008. Besides, he said, he would love to make a Punjabi film based on some good story. The chairman of Yash Raj Films is also planning a Punjabi music album with noted folk singers like Gurdas Mann, Hans Raj Hans and Harbhajan Mann.

On the new trend of sports-based films, Chopra said he was not averse to making another but "only if I get a very good script". "(Shah Rukh Khan-starrer) 'Chak De India' was not a planned movie. It was just that the idea came in and we started the project which was a huge hit," he said.
