Salman is the original Bollywood heart throb, whereas John is the current poster boy. While Salman is unapologetically arrogant, John is tactfully diplomatic.
Salman and John enjoy tremendous goodwill and wear their success with nonchalance. However, both the actors are at war with each other.
Trouble began after Salman and John fell out on the Rockstar World Tour and the fact that they had two films together didn’t quite help.
The animosity was first apparent when at the music launch of one of their films Salaam-e-Ishq, Salman even refused to acknowledge John's presence.
Later, at the premiere of their next film 'Baabul', both actors came in only to watch themselves on screen. Salman came in the first half and left before John made his entry in the film post the interval.
Though Salman has often made subtle jibes at John, the final blow came when the actor was asked the reason for the failure of 'Baabul.' "Baabul did not do well because of the second half," replied Salman.
Considering that the second half solely belongs to John, the comment in itself bears a testimony of their current relationship.
Though John has always refrained from any comment, we wonder what he has to say!
