The dozen odd terrorists who wreaked havoc in Mumbai and held the city to ransom for close to three days were well aware of the city’s topography. They also had complete information about the guests at the Taj and Oberoi hotels.

The terrorists also knew the old and new building of the Taj inch by inch. The terrorists were all aged between 20 and 25. They visited Mumbai some five months ago and stayed for about a month claiming them as students from Malaysia.

The terrorists ordered 5 kilos of chicken biriyani and 5 kilos of mutton biriyani form the Taj kitchen before commencing their operation. They also had a huge stock of dry fruits with them. The biriyani and dry fruits kept them going for more than two days while they kept the hostages in the two places for two days.

Of course, they were armed to their teeth with sophisticated AK47 rifles and Chinese made grenades and several rounds of cartridges.
