The Andhra Pradesh Film Directors' Association had felicitated popular director and Union minister Dasari Narayana Rao on the occasion of the completion of silver jubilee of their association. Speaking on the occasion Dasari says, 'A real Telugu director would prepare the story first and then directs a movie. The present generation directors should prove this. Instead of going to sets with a mere one or two sentences of storyline and developing at a latter stage should be avoided.

I am ready to produce films, if any of the young directors come to me with a perfect subject in total.' Speaking about the relationship between the technicians, Dasari says, 'The director and producers should have close association. I am feeling bad on learning that the producer remained a mere cashier and was dancing to the tunes of directors and lead artistes. Even the media should also be cautious in reporting about films. If the media reviews a film in a correct way, it would help for the prosperity of the director as he could realize his mistakes.

If you say that all the films are big hits, while the film industry is now in doldrums? If the hero did not dance well, you should point it out instead of praising him. Likewise, the media claims that the other language directors are invading the industry, but it is not giving details about what made them to come in when there is talent locally. If a director really feels, he could prepare 100 artistes.'
