Ajantha Studio is the first cinic studio in Hyderabad city built in 1964. Films like Sati Arundati, Nijam Chebuthe Nammaru, Tatamma Kala, Melukolupu etc. were shot here. Seetarami Rami Reddy, founder of this studio wanted his grave to be in the studio. So, now no studio but the grave of the founder is found.

Bhagyanagar studio was founded in 1977 by well known industrialist Badam Ramaswamy.

Nandi Awards started in 1964 and the first film to get Nandi Award is Dr.Chakravarthi (ANR)
