This could sound as music to the TRS leaders and pro-Telangana leaders in the Congress. The AICC in charge of Andhra Pradesh, Veerappa Moily said that SRC was not a must for the formation of a separate state. Earlier too, separate states were formed without taking recourse to the States Reorganization Commission.
In effect, what Moily is trying to say is that the second SRC was just a formula for achieving a separate state. But a separate Telangana was still possible even without an SRC. All that was needed was for Sonia Gandhi to make up her mind. If Sonia Gandhi wished so, then a separate Telangana can be formed without the need for going into a second SRC.
