Teja was a hotshot cameraman before turning director. His maiden film Chitram was a big hit making him an instant celebrity and also the most sought after director. He made a couple of good movies after which success went to his head.

Teja started talking more and working less. This not only affected his work but also his image. His latest film Lakshmi Kalyanam was hyped up a lot before its release. However it failed miserably at the box-office. Teja made a number of enemies with his outspoken nature and brusque manners.

So it is no wonder that no producer is willing to sign him up for their films. And Teja, who burnt his fingers by producing films, is now sulking with a string of failures. Teja is now away from the industry. He is reported to be busy with real estate dealing.

Let us hope he meets with success in his latest venture. And if he makes a tidy sum, you can safely bet that he will come back to make another film.
