Popular Tamil actress of yesteryears, E V Saroja , died of cardiac arrest at a hospital here today, her family said.

Saroja , 71, was survived by a son and a daughter.

She had over seventy films to her credit and was paired with the late M G Ramachandran and late Sivaji Ganesan in many films in the 1960s.

Her funeral will be held here tomorrow, her family said.

Her husband T R Ramanna, a popular film director, died a couple of years ago
