The over enthusiasm by the media, electronic media in particular, once again came to the fore this afternoon. In its bid to score a first, TV9 flashed the news that comedian Mallikarjun Rao had passed away.
The channel did not bother to verify the facts and cross check with the doctors before ‘flashing’ the news. The doctors at Apollo treating him said that his condition is critical and it may take about four or five days to for him to come out of danger.
