The rebels finally got their chance to humble the TRS chief K Chandrashekar Rao. In the legislative council eletions under the MLA quotas, the TRS nominee Sudharshan Rao had to eat the humble pie. The candidatr propped up by the rebels; Kasani Gyaneshwar won comfortably securing two votes more than required.
K Chandrahsekar Rao tried his best to get the rebel legislator disqualified. He even met the Speaker Suresh Reddy and petitioned him, seeking the disqualification of the rebels. This did not bear fruit. The rebels are naturally elated. So are the congressmen and the Telugu Desam activists. This is on embarrassment that KCR will find hard to digest. It is of course another matter that Kasani Gyanaewa is reported to have lured the TRS rebel MLAas with huge sums of money. It is being said that the amount ranged between rs 50 lakhs to Rs one crore per MLA.
