The rank and file of the TDP is unhappy with their party supremo Chandra Babu Naidu. And even many senior leaders of the party are a bit apprehensive about the moves made by Babu in the recent past.
The issue a is about Babu’s increased interest in the national level politic. The formation of UNPA and Babu taking over as its convener is not going down well with some party men. They reason that Babu has a lot of groundwork left to be done in Hyderabad. With elections approaching in just over a year, the party needs to be strengthened at the grassroots and the party machinery geared up to face the polls.
The TDP chief, by indulging in national politics is in the danger of neglecting state politics. The party men want Babu to give his undivided attention to state politics and gear up the party to face the relatively strong Congress party in the elections.
