The Telugu Association of North America is known for its annual conference which is a big event in the calendar. The conference acts as a bridge between the Telugu people in the US and their state back home.
In a novel initiative, TANA is sponsoring 5 students in the US to visit Andhra Pradesh. The fully sponsored tour by TANA is a novel exercise aimed at enabling the second generation kids of Telugus’ to get in touch with their roots and learn about their motherland.
The 40 days study is designed to help them get a first hand account of the state, the culture, history, development, real estate and other such issues. They will meet a number of people from different fields as part of their project. The five students are now in Hyderabad and have begun their work.
