Director Ameer's case against Sivakumar, Surya and Karthi was finally dismissed yesterday by the High Court Judge Prabha Sridevan.
Readers may be aware that the rift between director Ameer and producer Gnanavel, who also happens to be a relative of Sivakumar came to the fore when the latter declined to pay the amount due to him.
However, it reached a feverish pitch when Gnanavel tried to dub the movie to other languages.
When the matter came up for hearing, Sivakumar's advocate stated that his clients did not have any financial dealing with the movie. Following this, Ameer's counsel made a plea that the Sivakumars be absolved from the case. Accepting it, Justice Prabha Sridevan dismissed the case against them but ordered Gnanavel to file a fresh counter on Friday.
