Suresh Gopi's first release this year, Sound of Boot, has shown a moderate opening at the box office. The film was a hush hush project, completed in just 22 days and has the actor donning the role of a police officer.

He is now playing the role of a Kunjunni Namboodri brahmin in the upcoming Kaavyam directed by Aneesh Verma and Santosh. Navya Nair plays the female lead. Saji Kadambazhippuram produces the film, which also casts Vijayaraghavan, Archana , Manoj K. Jayan, Kaviyoor Ponnamma, Kunajan and others.
