The Telugu film industry is quite volatile. If there is a success, opportunities would start pouring in like anything. If there were successive failures, none would turn their face towards them, whether it is an artiste or a technician. Surender Reddy, who gave a blockbuster like Athanokkade which also gave a break to Nandamuri Kalyanram, had no notable hits after that. His film with NT Rama Rao, Ashok , had an average run. Likewise, his next film 'Atithi' with Maheshbabu also failed to reach expectations.
After directing young heroes like NTR and Maheshbabu, Surender Reddy eyed top heroes' films but he could not get their dates and he slowly understood how the industry would react if there is a failure. This had prompted him to do a film with a novice and give yet another blockbuster. Immediately, he got an opportunity to introduce Saikumar's son as hero and Venkat of RR Movie Makers is going to produce that movie. Moreover, the project is going to take shape with a heavy budget of Rs 10 crore. Let us wait and watch whether Surender Reddy would repeat his magic.
