Sundar C has almost succeeded in establishing himself as a bankable star in Tamil films, with a string of moderate hits under his belt. His recent film ‘Aydham Seivom’ has been doing roaring business in ‘B’ and ‘C’ centres. Sundar, who has directed successful films like ‘Ullathai Allithaa’ and Rajni’s ‘Arunachalam’, was recently offered to direct a film starring himself in the lead role.
Sundar lapped up the offer immediately. Why?
The reported offer was to remake MGR’s golden hit in the early seventies, ‘Ulagam Sutrum Vaaliban’. Who would hesitate to get into the legendary MGR’s shoes in the role for the film? A ‘huge’ sum was reportedly on offer along with the offer to act and direct the film. Sundar is planning to complete his pending projects soon to start this project.
