Subhash Ghai's dream venture was inaugurated by two of Bollywood's most popular stars- Dilip Kumar and Shah Rukh Khan.

"My dream has come true today. It's wonderful to stand today at the opening," said Subhash Ghai.

"He always wanted to open this and he has done it. I am very proud of him," said Dilip Kumar.

Having been in the industry for almost three decades, Ghai certainly has several well wishers and many of them turned up to cheer the filmmaker on his big day.

"This is the best thing to have happened to young budding filmmakers. They now have a proper film school through which they can enter the industry," said Hema Malini, actress.

"This way good talent will get a chance to enter the film industry. This was much needed," added Nagesh Kukunoor, actor.

Subhash Ghai's 'Whistling Woods' will now compete with FTII, the institute in which he learnt filmmaking.

With this the showman has now opened doors to all those youngsters who want to make a career in Bollywood but may not have the contacts to do so.

Acting, direction, cinematography, editing and screenwriting are some of the courses that are on offer at the institute.

With heavyweights like Shyam Benegal and Naseerudhin Shah on the faculty list, Subhash Ghai's venture looks set to be a hit.
