Though the Telugu film industry is celebrating its Diamond Jubilee celebrations on a grand scale, several senior artistes are keeping themselves aloof from the function. Sobhanbabu is prominent among them who is conspicuous by his absence.
He kept himself off from the industry for the past few years and is staying in Chennai. In other words, he almost cut all his links with the Telugu film industry. However, some opined that he would come to take part in the celebrations. However, he made it clear that he is not attending the function.
In fact, Akkineni Nageswara Rao and some others also sore over the arrangements and the invitations. However, the elders of the film industry met and pacified them. Especially, the Diamond Jubilee Committee chairman, Dr D Ramanaidu reportedly told them, 'We are uniting everyone to step ahead.
There will not be any problem in holding the Diamond Jubilee celebrations. We are making arrangements to suit the nature and stature of our Telugu cinema. Top south Indian stars like Rajanikanth and Kamal Hassan are attending the function.'
