Shooting of ' John Apparao 40 Plus', directed and produced by Kuchipudi Venkat on the banner of Black and Eight Act with Krishna Bhagawan and Simran in the lead is progressing well at Ramoji Film City.

The film had recently completed its shooting in Bangkok and Visakhapatnam and returned to Hyderabad. Krishna Bhagawan says, 'When Venkat told me that I would be the hero, I was shocked. I asked Venkat as to why he was offering me the hero's role when I am happy with comedy roles.

Then he told me the story and I really felt that the subject would suit my body language and age. I am doing the role of a fashion designer. However, I could not get married due to some responsibilities. By the time I am relieved, I turn 40. What happened later is a big suspense.' Venkat says, 'The story and its movement would be interesting to all classes of audiences.

Krishna Bhagawan and Simran's roles would be the highlight.' Sayaji Shinde, Ali, Brahmanandam, Jeeva, Melkote, Ruthika , Apoorva , Jeeva, Raghubabu, and others are in the cast. Camera is by Samir Tahir, while music is by Kiran Varanasi.
