After a brief interval, Simran is back before the arc lights. She makes a comeback with a Malayalam movie Heart Beats.

Says Simran , “It gives me immense pleasure to come back to Malayalam, the industry which gave me the first break down South. Though I made my debut in Hindi, it was Indraprastham, which gave me the visibility and acceptance I could bank on.

Produced by Tri Star Films, the film scripted by Babu Janardhanan, also stars Indrajith, Jagathy Sreekumar and Charuhasan. I play the protagonist Nancy, a good-natured girl. There are no shades or undertones to this character. It is a simple story of how she comes up in life through friendship. I was fascinated by the title Heart Beats. It is such a pulsating term, so full of life”.
