 Simran has long ago expressed her desire to make a comeback in Kollywood. The once most sought-after heroine in Kollywood is now ready and raring to go. When she started her second innings in the tinsel world, it was buzzed that Simran would play the ladylove of Vadivelu in 'Indiralohathil Na Azhagappan'. Rumours were abuzz that Simran would share the screen with Parthiban. However, reports now suggest that Simran would act opposite Karunas. The film would be a remake of 'Vadakku Nokki Yanthram', a Malayalam blockbuster of 1980s. It had Sreenivasan and Parvathi in the lead roles. The film is an out and out comedy entertainer, which revolves around a man who marries a beautiful woman. Her films in Telugu have also not fetched her the desired name. She did an item song in Nitin's film and after that she did a big role in Balakrishna's Okka Mogadu'. But her role as the wife of a freedom fighter went largely unnoticed. She was shown as a seventy-year-old woman all through the film. It did not go down well with her fans. Simran says that she never planned a return to films but was offered a role by YVS Choudhary and she readily accepted. Simran is either very much impressed by the story of the film or she has become very much desperate to regain a foothold in the Tamil film industry.
