Directed and produced by Kuchipudi Venkat on the banner of Black and Eight Act, 'John Appa Rao 40 Plus', with Krishna Bhagawan, Simran and Ruthika in the lead had completed its recent schedule at Ramoji Film City. The next schedule of the film was planned from November 1. Director cum producer Kuchipudi Venkat says, 'John Appa Rao earns a good name as a fashion designer. He had several responsibilities and after fulfilling all of them, he thinks about his marriage.

By that time, he crosses 40 years of age. Then he starts day dreaming of moving around with a girl. He comes across a middle-aged woman, who was also a spinster. The scenes that run between them would be entertaining. Each scene in the film would make the audiences laugh heartily. At the same time, the movement of the story is interesting. Especially the scenes that run between Krishna Bhagawan and Simran would remain highlight.' Brahmanandam, Ali, Jeeva, Sayaji Shinde, Benarjee are in the cast.
