 The two Simbu's in Tamil film industry are as different as chalk and cheese. One is a well known actor Silambarasan, the other is the non controversial soft spoken Simbudevan, the director. Simbudevan the director after the runway success of his Mel Brooks style "historical comedy" with Vadivel's Imsai Arasan 23am Pulikesi is back with Arai En 305il Kadavul. It features two stand-up comedians, Santhanam and Ganja Karupu along with Prakash Raj who appears as God! Arai En 305il Kadavul is about two strugglers staying in a lodge, and their next door neighbour in room number 305 is god himself! And god appears, helps and selects them as his messengers for the modern world, is what the story is all about. The story seems very similar to the 1977 John Denver movie Oh God!. Simbudevan is depending on the script and the marketing of Shankar's 'S' pictures to make Arai En 305il Kadavul work. But Simbu has to be admired for his guts to make a full length commercial film with two small-time comedians. The others in the cast are Jyothirmayi, Madhumita , Rajesh, M.S. Bhaskar. The film has music by Vidyasagar, and is being shot in Chennai, Thiruvannamalai and Nagercovil. We need more gutsy directors like Simbudevan and a producer like Shankar ,to deliver the goods for Tamil cinema. The following week will see the release of his other film Darling again produced by him along with Bhushan Kumar. Knowing the status of his version of Sholay, it is likely that the release of the film might get delayed. Until then, two of his own products will battle it out at more Narendra-to-rejoin-BJP  The former second in command in the TRS, Aley Narendra, has now been in hibernation for some time ever since he was expelled from the TRS by KCR. Narendra is a former BJP leader and he is now desperately trying to get back into the saffron party. Narendra has good contacts with all the senior BJP leaders and the state leadership is also not averse to Narendra coming back. So Narendra could be back in the BJP sooner than later. &nb more Special-planes-to-bring-back-gulf-workers The state government is making arrangements to bring back the stranded workers from the state from Dubai. An estimated 4,000 workers are now on the roads in Dubai. They have been sacked by their employers and do not have the money to return to the country. The government there has set November 2 as the deadline for them to leave the country. Minster Shabbir Ali will now leave for Dubai to bring them back. The state government plans to charter two special planes to bring them back.
