Thimiru'director Tarun Gopi has shelved his'Agaraadhi'and has taken up a new project.

Produced by Nik Arts Chakravarthy, the project that Tarun Gopi is to direct is more or less finalized. The film is titled ‘Kaala'after the hero of the film and not for an animal.


Simbu has been cast in the title role as being the most suitable for the role.'Silambattam'directed by cameraman Saravanan and'Kaala'could start at the same time according to Kodambakkam sources.

Trisha has been approached to do the heroine role. She and Simbu are good friends and they have also co-starred in'Alai.'Though the film did not make waves, the Simbu- Trisha combo was explosive. Because she’s Simbu’s friend, they expect her to give call sheet.
