Silambarasan’s absence at the discussions being held at the Nadigar Sangam on the protest against the attack on Sri Lankan Tamils by the Sri Lankan army has some tongues wagging in Kollywood. Clearing the air over this issue, Silambarasan said that he is busy shooting a song sequence for his forthcoming film Silambattam in AVM Studios with Sana Khan. He made it very clear that he would participate in the protest on October 19th without fail.

His father T. Rajendar had infused Tamil sentiments right from childhood. He added that his father chose names for him and his brother from Tamil texts.

Silambarasan disclosed that the film will hit the screens on November 14th and added that the audio launch will be proponed to October 17th. He said the audio was proponed as he did not want it to coincide with the protest.
