After producing ‘Giri,’ Khushboo is all set for her next production. Is she to cast hubby Sundar C as hero? No! Fortunately, she has made him director while Madhavan plays hero.
After Seeman’s ‘Thambi,’ Madhavan has not acted in any Tamil film. His film ‘Arya’ with Bhavana is suspended half way due to financial trouble. The only film Madhavan is acting in now is in Mani Ratnam’s ‘Guru.’
Madhavan has already acted in ‘Anbe Sivam’ directed by Sundar C. So, ‘Rendu’ will be the second film that Sundar C and Madhavan will work on, as well as being Khushboo’s second film production. This is not the reason for the title being ‘ Rendu ’ It’s because Madhavan does 2 roles in the film and one of the characters is blind!
Nila was first considered for role of leading lady but seeing the problems that happened with her in the ‘Jambavan’ unit, they decided to play safe and signed on Rima Sen instead. Rima and Madhavan work together in their second film after ‘Minnale.’ This also happens to be the second time Rima will be directed by Sundar C. There seems to be a lot of second time this and that….
Hope the film goes on to score a double century!
