 It was full house at all the movie theatres in the state today that were screening the film ‘Oy!’ Hero Siddharth was the main draw for the film followed by the child artist turned debutante heroine Shamili. Oy! is a light hearted entertainer and the first half was enjoyed greatly by the audience consisting of mostly college students. It is only the second half that dragged a bit with heavy sentiment and some unnecessary scenes and characters. Related StoriesSiddhu’s-too-much-romance  Siddhartha is doing ti too much. He is playing a young lover boy in the film Oy!. Siddhu says that he has played lover boy in films several times before but this film takes the cake. Siddu as he is popularly known has been dating Soha Ali Khan, daughter of Sharmila Tagore and Pataudi. Siddhartha met Soha on the sets of his Hindi film ‘Rang De Basanthi’ with Aamir Khan in the lead. The slowly became good friend during the shooting of the film and later they turned into lovers. The two have been dating for more than a year now, But Soha’s parents were against their relationship. Their objection was that Siddhu was already married and was now involved in divorce proceedings. Producer says, 'The entire film runs between five characters. What is the relationship between each character? What one character in the film thinks about the other characters? Such points are being discussed in an interesting manner. The scenes that occur between these characters would appear like a puzzle. Basically, it is a completely an entertainer. Music is by Anoop, lyrics are by Chaitanya Prasad while VN Gnana Sekha more Mumaith-draws-the-crowds The sexy Mumaith Khan played the title role in the latest film ‘Mangatayaru Tiffin Centre. The film hit the screens this morning. The director and producer used some very hot pictures of Mumaith Khan in all the publicity posters. The trick seems to have worked as the film opened to near full capacity at many theatres in the city. However, there is nothing new or novel in the film. The story is an old wine in an even older bottle. The only little positive thing about the film is that there is not much of a vulgarity. There are also not too many double meaning dialogues in the film. But the film is very poor and it my do well only in the C centres. more Siddharth---Tamanna-in-a-dam  Guess it all started with Kaaka Kaaka or rather that was the film that popularized the idea of a lake house. This was later replicated in many films but was used mainly for song sequences that had no bearing in the story of the film. Director Gandhi Krishna has also come up with a similar idea. His previous film Chellame was a hit, the director is now back with Anandha Thandavam, featuring debutant Siddharth and Tamanna of Kalloori fame. more |
