In order to promote short-duration films, the Digital Films Forum For India (DFFI) was established. The DFFI had recently held a competition among the short-duration films and screened some of them. Of them, some were selected for various kinds of awards. These awards were given away to the winners at the Lalitha Kala Pranganam in Jubilee Hills of Hyderabad.
Directors and producers including EVV Satyanarayana, Tammareddy Bharadwaja, D Subrahmanyam, artiste Chalapati Rao, budding artiste Ravi Varma attended the programme as chief guests and presented the awards to the winners. The list of awards and the winners is as follows:
Best film – Srikaram (PNV Prasad), Best actor – PNV Prasad (Srikaram), Best director – Nagu Gavara (Aiswarya), Best actress – Sony (Aiswarya), Best child artiste – Baby Trisha (Manchu Mullu), Best cameraman – Siddhartha Jetla, Special effects award – Jahangir (Lakshyam). The function was held jointly by the AP Electronic Media Journalists Association and DFFI. Cameraman MV Raghu, DFFI chaiman PC Aditya, AP Electronic Media Journalists Association president Chandu Janadhana and others participated.
