Gauri Pradhan threatens to throw husband Hiten Tejwani out of the house if he doesn’t hit the gym.
They say that behind every successful man, there is a woman. And Gauri Pradhan proved her point when she issued an ultimatum to husband Hiten Tejwani, prompting him to get into shape.
Gauri's friends (actors who are all fitness freaks) brought it to her notice that her husband had begun to look tired perpetually. The stress of shooting for three daily shows, Kyunki..., Kavyanjali and Kaisa Yeh Pyar Hai had begun to take a toll on his health.
To make matters worse, Hiten was ignoring his physical well-being by not exercising regularly. “Gauri has been very particular about her health and is reaping the benefits of exercising regularly,” says Hiten.
Hiten was so out of shape that she insisted he join a gym immediately. “Look, I was working out earlier too, but I wasn't very focussed. Gauri is very stubborn and I just can't refuse her,” he says.
So, the obedient husband hit the gym and has been religiously working out ever since. “It's encouraging to see the results,” laughs Hiten. These days, Hiten is not only flaunting his biceps but is also at the receiving end of compliments.
Hiten, who plays a 40-year-old character in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi credits his wife for his new toned self. “It was because of Gauri that I started taking my work-outs seriously,” he says.
On the career front, Hiten is excited about his character going negative in Kavyanjali. “I've never played a negative role before. The character of Yug is very different from he started off as. Karan Virani too is poles apart from Yug and that's what is thrilling.”
