The date for the inauguration of the new International Airport at Shamshabad is fast approaching. With less than three months to go for the inauguration of the airport, the state government is now worried about the connectivity issue.
The government is yet to begin work on the Mass rail transport system. It would be a virtual challenge for people going to Shamshabad to catch flight. With the present traffic jams, people are already worried about the prospect of having to catch a flight from Shamshabad.
The measures of the government like introducing cabs and special buses hardly address the problem. A dedicated rail corridor connecting the airport from various parts o the city is the only solution. But it is still nowhere in sight.
